Christmas

Christmas is almost here however it doesn’t feel like Christmas to me.
I don’t know why but this year has gone by really fast and Christmas has sneaked up on me. I think I’m done all my shopping. I think. I guess next week I will look at what I’ve purchased and then see if I feel I need to go out and get more. Probably not as I’ve promised myself I’m not going overboard this year.

I luckily remembered, I very rarely do, before purchasing some items online today to check for an online coupon. A quick google sent me here Retail me not and 5 seconds later I received 20% off my victoria secret order for the wife.

Snow

well the snow was flying last night. I think we got about 5-6 inches however its hard to tell because of the drifts.
I’m sooooo happy I have a garage now, even though I don’t have an opener on my side yet. Well I have it however its still in the box. however the snow seems to drift against the door. there was probably a 3.5 foot high drift in front of both doors, I could have plowed through it but instead I did the right thing and shovelled it.
Supposed to be 50 tomorrow so most of the snow should melt away which hopefully means I can do xmas lights on saturday.

Back from vegas

It was a good trip and I had lots of fun, however its such an expensive place even without gambling. Home of the $8.00 beer and $11.00 highball 
had a good week there though, lost a little at the tables but not nearly as much as I was planning on so that is a win. Got back noon on Saturday and managed to get a little xmas stuff done over the weekend. Still have lights to get up outside on the house which is going to be hard now that we are getting a dumping of snow today and tomorrow.

Samsung Behold

Well I broke down and bought the wife and daughter the behold on sunday (and I didn’t get much subsidy) basically they gave us I think 40 off of each phone, so we paid about 330 each.
I was going to buy the daughter the cheaper one, but she is a great kid, she doesn’t get into trouble and she gets straight a’s so I decided she deserved it. Hopefully this phone gets better reception in her school otherwise there might be a fight as we make her return it and she wants to keep it because its cool.
We will see.

Went to see the play again

Went to see the play again for closing night on saturday.
Again it was awesome and the kids did a great job. It was interesting because since this was the 4th show I think the kids felt more comfortable so there seems to be some ad libs here and there which made it very funny. also there was a few mix ups, nothing too major that probably were just them being too comfortable or being exhausted.
that being said I was very impressed and I think we will go see every production they do from this point forward.

state of the union

home phone is back on. Not that it matters to me, I’ll just use my cell phone
The dish network and tv’s are working great, I’m actually much happier with the dish dvr than the tivo, its cleaner, works better and is faster. Its still taking a little time to get adjusted to it but thats just habit. Also my biggest gripe is I don’t know what numbers my channels are on but that will come with time. I constant turn to 178 for discovery which is what it was on dtv now I need to get into the habit of going to the correct area.
The daughter had her HS play of peter pan last night. I thought it was a very good play.

Costco

why is it that you go to costco and everything is cheaper than at the normal grocery store, however I always end up spending about $200. I don’t even think last night that we got that much stuff, but I guess when you are buying 5 gallons of mustard it all adds up quick

home phone

so a few weeks ago we got rid of our home phone.
tomorrow it is being set back up. The wife keeps leaving her cell phone in the jeep so she is missing calls. I don’t anticipate giving the number out to anyone or ever getting to know it. then I never have to answer the phone oh well the best thing that comes out of this is a new number so now the solictors that were calling won’t anymore.
We are still using skype for calling, hopefully that will continue as we call canada way to much
