Curve and Blackberry Enterprise server

By jelly | May 27, 2008

Everything is working great, I’m very happy with the speed at which I get emails.  I wish the BES synced more to exchange but not a big deal.  I haven’t lost connection with the email server yet and everytime I need the emails on the device they are there.

I really like the wifi as as soon as I get home or to work it automatically connects to either network without any input from me.  Today will be the first full day with UMA up and running, it seems to work fine, however I’ve had a couple calls fail when I’ve made them and one person called me and was told I was unavailable.

Other than that all is well.  I’m 99% sure I’ll be purchasing the BES soon, we are using the trial now, I’ll get two more users up and running on it this week and as long as everything works for them I will keep it going.  Today I have to make sure IT turns off all the logging, by default BES logs every phone call you make and every text message (including the content) I’m sure in some big corporations this is needed and wanted but for me its overkill.  I don’t want to know who is calling who and who sends what text message to who.
