whole house attic fan

I’m thinking about getting a whole house attic fan for my house instead of AC. I’m thinking this will take much less electricity to run, since when I had AC it almost tripled my bills in the summer. I can have one installed for around 1600 and then just run it at night when it cools down to remove all the hot air from the house.
