new puppy

The new puppy is gone :( I’m a little sad but I think it was the right thing to do. Basically the puppy ran away a couple of days ago, as everyone here knows I have the petsafe fence, He shouldn’t have been outside alone anyway since his training wasn’t complete (silly wife) but anyway as we looked for him we heard tons of stories of Great Pyrenes and petsafe fences and saying they won’t work because they are big and strong enough that they can take the shock. I don’t doubt this as I remember when I had the huskies and my husky chow mix would roll on the wire for the fence and I could hear it shocking him and he seem to like it. I’m assuming the pyrenes would be similar.

Then we found the puppy and he had been with a really nice family with 5 kids, and they obviously had grown attached to him and their kids loved him. We were worried about taking him back to our place because we are kind of close to the highway and we don’t want him to get hit. So we decided he could stay with the new family. He is such a nice dog I just want whats best for him.
