Evolution mail owa exchange connector

By jelly | April 2, 2008

The biggest hurdle that I am trying to come to grips with these days in my linux desktop project is the evolution owa exchange connector.  This thing is really buggy, I am constantly crashing evolution, and constanting getting syncing errors.

Today I also had the worst possible scenario where I sent and email and it went away, it wasn’t in the outbox and wasn’t in the sent and if I hadn’t noticed a small error message in the status bar on the bottom I would never have checked and that mail would have been lost.  I really hope this gets better in the 8.04 full release.

The linux desktop has worked pretty good  not too many headaches on the OS at all, I’ve crashed the desktop a couple times but it recovers nicely.  I like the multiple desktop functionality and everything runs very quick however the evolution bugs are a big concern to me and this project.  I’m not going to move anyone else over until I have more confidence in it.
