My ubuntu computer
By jelly | March 20, 2008
So installing linux on my desktop computer has been frustrating to say the least. I am down to two more things to try, if neither of them work I’m really at a loss.
I’m going to try a script called Envy which is supposed to detect and install the correct video card for your system. If that doesn’t work the only other thing I can think of right now is to replace my monitors with different ones to see if its possible that the monitors are causing the problem.
I’m still committed to the Ubuntu linux desktop project, however I have been a little frustrated with the problems that I have encountered on my own computer. It went so smooth when building a new computer to spec but seems much harder on using existing hardware.
