Noise

I heard an awful noise last night around 3:00am, sounded like a bark but not the bark of a dog, either that or it was very weird. The sound was coming from near my neighbours house and they have a dog and since its only a lady and her 6 year old living there I thought I should go check. But upon looking I didn’t see anything around their house. I started following the sound but then it when down the embankment and into the trees, and I didn’t think it was wise to be tramping around in the dark, in the snow looking for a mystery animal. so I went back to my house and back to bed. The noise stopped in about 30 minutes after that, although I never got back to sleep
