Day 2 linux desktop

By jelly | March 4, 2008

So far the problems seem very minor.  Most of they have to do with evolution, which I was a little worried about.  Since it connects to exchange not using MAPI but instead logs into the OWA and snags the data I was worried about the speed and ease of use.  The ease of use seems not to bad and I think right now the few things that the user doesn’t like are mostly cosmetic.  The list includes.

Images do not display in the preview pane, if you open the email, the images show but not in the preview.

They lost their autocomplete in email, this would have happened on any new computer but hopefully ubuntu will start to build its own list

Couldn’t get google earth to load (nothing to do with work) however i’ve seen it running on ubuntu so that should be easy to get done.
