Christmas with relatives.
By jelly | December 26, 2007
I just got through the first few days of Christmas with my wifes relatives.
It was pretty much what I thought. I’m happy they came, happy for my kids because they had cousins to play with and they had a great time. For me not so much. With the renovation still not finished. There was a lack of space for me, I don’t like company at the best of times, even when its my family but when you are down to two common living areas. And they are all full of people it is hard to get away. Add to that a big dumping of snow, wind, and cold where the outside is not an option, and even going for a drive doesnt’ seem like a good idea. Add to that, the fact that you could go hang out in your sanctuary of a room, however because of the addition, it has no flooring, the walls are bare, no electricity except for one outlet, there is boxes of tile all over the floor, and the only piece of furniture is an inflatible bed and you can see why it may have been a little stressful.
As I said I’m happy they came, it was good for the wife and the kids, and if the house had been done, like it was supposed to, then it wouldn’t have been that bad, however with everything going on it was not the best for I.
Good thing I’m back at work today so that should help out alot. ![]()
